Senior Surf has been a most exciting program here at Piedmont Gardens. The initial presentation given by Dave and Nils was well received because it was evident that they were highly sensitive to the particular needs of seniors. They followed through on their promise to deliver valuable and useful instruction based on participants’ requirements and interests, and they have continued to be highly professional as well as kind and caring. They are extremely knowledgeable regarding technology and have been impressively responsive to inquiries and requests. In short, they have been a pleasure to work with.

Residents’ feedback has been excellent. Participants are pleased with the Senior Surf portable laptop set-up and with the willingness of the instructors to work with the wide range of skill levels in class. They also appreciate the instructors’ patience and humor. They benefit greatly from keeping current with their younger friends and family members and with the world as it exists today.

Because our Programs Department is committed to keeping residents as actively involved as they want to be, the residents and staff of Piedmont Gardens are very pleased with our Senior Surf partnership, and we look forward to the continued success of all involved.

It is my pleasure to confirm that Senior Surf is currently providing its second session of computer classes here at Piedmont Gardens. In the fall of 2005, because residents here were anxious to improve their computer skills, Dave Casuto and Nils Moe began eight weeks of Monday morning instruction to 11 Beginners and 7 Intermediate/Advanced participants. Last Monday, 9 Beginners and 6 Intermediate/Advanced students attended classes. Classes have been kept small in order to provide lots of individual attention.
