Beginner Computer Classes This Fall
Are you new to computers or want to get a review of the basics? If so, then this fun and interactive class is for you.
This classes will include:
- How to “Surf” the Web and go to websites and webpages
- Learn to use Google for searching for information, places and things.
- Learn useful and fun websites for Seniors and all
- Online encyclopedia for knowledge, health and more
- Get a free email address
- Send and Receive Email
- Sending/receiving digital photos
- Instructors are patient, knowledgeable and fun!
When: Thursdays, October 1st – October 29th (5 weeks)
Time: 6:30-8:00PM
Location: Here at the Sequoias in the Redwood Room
Cost: $125*

Intro to Social Media on the Web
Do these terms mean anything to you? Twitter. Wiki. Blog. Facebook. Social Network. No? Well, that’s about to change. This cutting edge class offers an interactive and fun chance to not only make sense of these words, but to put them to use and create your own presence on the web. In this six week course, we will get you connected on Facebook (and show you what the fuss is all about); help you create your very own Blog (aka, a “web log”); use “wiki” technology to create your own free and easily set up website and finally we will make you “Tweet” like a little bird…

Exploring the Internet - Level 2
Have you ever wondered what more there was to do on the Internet? What does surfing the web offer that you have not yet explored? This class is about taking things to the next level (not too fast, of course).
In this fun and exciting class, we cover Google (and beyond!), researching and searching on the web (all topics!), Email tips, videos on the Web (YouTube is not just for kids anymore), Internet vocabulary, finding people, things and businesses, exploring Google Earth and so much more! And just like every Senior Surf class, your input is part of the class; where your personal questions and topics can lead the class (what topics do YOU want covered and what are YOU having problems with?). You're ready for it!
Apple and Windows are welcome. If you have a laptop, bring it!
